Do I Need Diamond Ring Insurance

If you have to ask whether or not you need diamond ring insurance you probably do. There's something nagging you in the back of your mind saying "this thing's just too darn valuable to have it stolen or misplaced!" And you're right. While you should never look upon your diamond jewelry as an investment, there's no harm in being smart about covering things you're spending a fair amount of cash on, and diamond ring insurance can go a long way toward easing your concerns. There are a few things to consider, however.

Diamond ring insurance is usually found as a rider to most homeowners or renters insurance policies, at least in the US. Many insurance companies won't bother, but most of the larger ones will. There are basically three types of diamond ring insurance: Actual Cash Value, Replacement Value, and Agreed Value. Actual cash value replaces the ring at current market rates, either higher or lower than you paid for it. This coverage is rather rare. Another rare form of coverage but the most desirable, is Agreed Value. This is where you and the insurance company agree on the value, and that is the amount you are compensated in the event of a loss. The most common type, and the policy that most people are sold is Replacement Value. This is where the insurance company replaces your ring at the lowest cost they can negotiate. This is sometimes much less than the amount the ring is insured for. This is an area to be careful. Always insist on an independent appraisal, as you don't want to be paying premiums for a ring appraised at $15,000, and then have it replaced for $3000.

Make sure your diamond ring insurance covers you when you travel, and for most normal occasions. I've seen policies that only covered the ring in the house, causing problems when it was lost or stolen outside the home. All is all, diamond ring insurance isn't difficult to obtain, just keep these guidelines handy and you'll be able to buy some piece of mind!

Should Refinancing Your Mortgage Be In Your Future?

Buying the house you wanted brought you a lot of joy. Soon, you moved in and were glad to get settled. You had your mortgage, and you may have gotten a larger house because you were able to get an adjustable rate mortgage. Here are some reasons, though, why you may want to think about refinancing that mortgage.

The Future Is Unpredictable

Adjustable rate mortgages allowed many people to get that larger house simply because it started out with lower payments - initially. However, if it has not started already, the day is coming when the fixed rate portion of your mortgage will soon be over. Once that happens, you can expect a jump in your rates because your payments will get a new interest rate. The new interest rate will be changed regularly - limited only by caps set by law.

You still may expect quite a jump - or it may stay steady, or even decrease - depending on the market. The possibility is there that it could become higher than you might be able to pay. This makes it potentially bad. Besides that, when rates do become higher, it may be too late to refinance. Every mortgage, at that time, will probably become unaffordable for most people.

Get A Better Interest Rate

If you watch the market rates, you will know when you have a good opportunity to get a better interest rate. Lower interest rates will mean that it is a good time to refinance your mortgage. It also means that you could lower your monthly payments and get a much more secure fixed rate mortgage.

It is also possible that if you did not have very good credit when you got your current mortgage, that you could see an even greater reduction in your interest rate. A better credit score results in better terms when you refinance, so you will also want to make sure it is in as good as shape as possible.

Reduce The Length For More Savings

You could save much more money if you are able to keep your payments about the same and shorten the time length on your mortgage. If you currently have 20 years left on your existing mortgage, reduce it to 10 or 15 years when you refinance for tremendous savings - if your can. This simple step will enable you to save tens of thousands of dollars over the remaining life of your new mortgage.

Get Cash From Your Equity

If you have lived in your home for a few years, then you will have some equity built up. Using your equity as a source of cash for whatever need or want you have is a good way to get a low interest loan - with time to pay it back. All you need to do is to add the cash you want to the total amount you need.

Keep in mind, though, that you will need to leave 20% of the value of your house untouched. If you get a loan for more than 80% of the value of your house, you will need to pay for private mortgage insurance.

Take enough time when you are trying to refinance your mortgage to get several quotes and compare them carefully. This will help you see which offers are really good. Do not limit yourself to looking just at the interest rate, but also consider the total amount of fees, as well as the overall cost of refinancing. You also want to make sure that there are no penalties for paying it off early.

Is An Online Business Really Rewarding?

In the internet age, many people find themselves falling into the online business trap of thinking that it is easier to run and start up than those that work offline. While it is true that many online business opportunities take fewer funds to begin, the work is just as difficult.

Essentially, people who go into online businesses do not have the understanding needed to become a success. You may understand the internet and how it can allow you to have full access to the entire world right from your computer, you may think that it is just as easy to create a website and people will magically surf to it and purchase the products.

It is exactly this type of thinking that will lead those thinkers into a trap and become a victim of business opportunities that promise instant and easy money. One thing that needs to be realized is that if it was really as easy as that, they sure would not be telling you about it.

To better understand how the thinking should go, you should compare an online business with an offline business, at startup. Because you do not want to spend a great deal of money on starting your business, you will likely start your business in your home office. This is very similar to starting a business with a web site or domain name online. To begin with, all you really need is a name and some good content.

With any offline business venture, a service or product is needed. It is not natural to assume you can make money from anyone without giving him or her something in return. The same holds true for any online business. You have to have a service or product to offer your customers. This allows your business to generate customers and profit.

One you have begun offering your customers a valuable service or product, you will need to figure out how the money will come in. It does not happen automatically, you have to advertise your business to get the word out. People cannot read minds and know that you are there, you have to bring them to you. This is a true statement rather you operate an online business or an offline business. Promotion is the key.

As the business begins to flourish, you will have to have additional resources to help with the excess business that has arrived. This is true for both the offline and online world. As with an offline business, you may find that you have outgrown your current space and have a need for more. With an online business, you may require additional resources as well as the business continues to grow.

Any online business takes the desire, the effort and the time to succeed in the internet world. It does not occur overnight. Operating your own business can be a rewarding experience, it is important that you have a realistic approach to the whole project.

Adwords Miracle - Is It the Real Deal?

Of all the methods for making money online, mastering Adwords is without doubt one of the hardest. So when I received my copy of Adwords Miracle for review, I was expecting nothing more than a combination of all the best bits from all the best Adwords guides out there. What followed left me pleasantly surprised.

What is striking from the very start is that the author makes no claims to be a Guru. Instead, he comes clean and tells how he has made the journey from being completely broke to earning the kind of figures that most only dream of. He's happy about that though, being confident enough in his own skills to never have to worry about where the next dollar might come from. But does he go on to prove it?

The book is 111 pages long, divided in to 4 main sections with 36 sub-sections - yes 36! There is the initial mandatory section that covers how to set up an Adwords campaign. Although some of the more advanced among you might see this as "filler", it's vital information as the book somehow manages to cover in detail all aspects of Adwords, from complete beginner to Adwords Professional.

So confident is the author in his knowledge of the subject, he even throws in some comments aimed at the 'Big Hitters' that you can't help feeling are that of a confident man. Don't get me wrong, we are not talking of attitude normally associated with the likes of the Rich Jerk, we are talking about someone who without question knows their onions.

Progressing through the book, you feel that your knowledge of pay-per-click advertising is quickly improving. Major issues such as keyword lists, daily budget, ad writing, and inactive keywords are blended effortlessly with other issues that are too often ignored by other Adwords book authors. Every now and then, you come across one of those light bulb moments that stops you in your tracks. But its one thing to say something will work, and another to actually see it work. Adwords is specifically designed to work on Google so testing the claims is a simple, instant process.

Another important point covered in the book is real life examples. In fact, there are a number of references to campaigns the author continues to run everyday. This will make the complete novice sit up and wonder, Can you really make money that easily? You bet! On the other side of the coin, Adwords Miracle tackles a method that the great Perry Marshall promotes. Within a page or two you will know when it's right to use the tactic, and when it's not. The point being that the authors knowledge is extensive, he doesn't take the easy route and simply copy a Guru, he explains in detail when its right to use it and when it isnt.

Towards the end of the book you are introduced to what the author calls his 'Skimming Method'. Without doubt, this section could easily be sold as a separate book. Spanning 10 pages, everything is explained in great detail to enable you to be earning real money in the fastest possible time. Following closely behind is a section on Google Cash and how to use it effectively in 2006. You don't need to own the product to make good use of this section as the author explains in detail exactly how to make it work for you.

The Bottom Line

Adwords Miracle is a breath of fresh air. Written with obvious passion, it's encouraging to realise that Adwords is no longer a monster. So detailed is the book that it's impossible to cover it in detail in such a short space of time. It doesnt matter if you are new to Internet Marketing or have an established business online, Adwords Miracle offers the opportunity to increase your income almost instantly.

Adwords Miracle has made a substantial difference to my campaigns. If you too would like the chance to take your online activities to the next level, grab your copy of Adwords Miracle - before your competition does.

How Do I Create My Own Web Site?

If you know nothing about building or creating a web site from scratch, it may seem hard or even impossible at first to think; " How do I create my own web site?" That is until you look a little deeper at the many options that are available on the web. In this article I will explain your basic web site options, and how to have your own free web site that is fully free, but good looking and presentable, as well as user friendly and search engine friendly. I will list some of those many options below.

Places like Geocities or similar sites can give you a free site, but you will still need to know what is called hyper text markup language or HTML. If you can not write in HTML, you will need to either use software that can help you do it, or someone who can do it for you for free to use sites like geocities. These types of sites are not user friendly, because of the intrusive advertising, and are also not search engine friendly. If you want to sell things, or provide a service through your site, Geocities and sites like that are not for you. If you do know a bit of HTML and just want a place to express yourself with a free, cheap looking site, then Geocities would be a good fit for you.

Blogs are a way to have a free place to express yourself, but are not very search engine friendly, and you will not be able to have many visitors through the search engines. Plus, just like the Geocities option, the site is not really yours. You will not have all the options and functionality of a site that is actually yours. Blogs are for things like news or daily commentaries, or a way to keep in touch with friends or family. That question; " How do I create my own web site? " would not be realized with a blog.

The best possible way to create a free web site if you know a little hyper text markup language is to buy a domain name, sign up for web hosting, buy an HTML editor, such as Microsoft Frontpage or Dreamweaver, and start making web pages. This will start you on the path to becoming your own Webmaster. If you do not know HTML, and do not want to learn it, you will need to hire a Webmaster to create your web site for you. I only know one place where you can do that for free. The common price for creating a web site would start at about thirty to fifty dollars per web page.

Web site templates are a fairly popular option for creating your own web site. Yet again, you must know a little of that HTML to make it work for you. Web site templates are created by Webmasters for you to put your information into. Basically, you just replace the text in the template with your own. The graphics provided in the template are generic, and can apply to many general topics. Templates like this are generally a good way to provide a good first online impression, if you know how to use them.

If you are one of the lucky ones with a desire to create your own web site and have a friend who knows how, then your problem is solved already. You could possibly get it for free, if they like creating web sites. Otherwise, you will be looking at using the search engines for a Webmaster online. You will want to go to those search engines and type in things like "We give away free web sites", or something similar. Make sure you surround your sentence with the quotation marks so you will not have to look through pages and pages of sites.

If all the options above are still not good enough or just not available to you, there are some good Webmasters who will create a nice web site for free and only charge for the cost of web hosting. They are not easily found online, since they have so much to do! If you find a person like this, who can create a professional looking web site that is also search engine friendly and do it all for you for free then you have found a gold mine online. This type of person is rare, but when you look long enough online, you can find most anything.

As a summary, you can create your own web site if you know just a little hyper text markup language ( or HTML ) using HTML editing software or a template. If you do not know HTML, web pages should cost no more than fifty or less dollars each from a Webmaster with good experience. If you want the site done for free, you must do specific searches online for someone who will do it for free, but only charge for web hosting.

You can have a professional , search engine friendly web site at no charge : How Do I Create My Own Web Site?

Did Ford Take Jaguar Down The Wrong Road?

When Ford purchased Jaguar Cars Ltd in 1989, the Jaguar brand had for some years been tarnished with a reputation for poor build quality. There can be no doubt that the financial investment and quality control that Ford brought with it saved the Jaguar marque from an untimely end. However, Ford has been unable to make a financial success of Jaguar -- did Ford misjudge the Jaguar marque and its past success?

Jaguar's past

From its humble beginnings as the Swallow Sidecar Company in 1922, and for much of Jaguar's subsequent history, William Lyons, the company's co-founder, had a fundamental approach to his cars: to produce distinctive, high quality automobiles but at as low a cost as possible. The first of these, the Austin Seven Swallow, was simply a rebodied version of the humble Austin Seven because, Lyons believed, "... that it would also appeal to a lot of people if it had a more luxurious and attractive body."

In later years, the success of iconic Jaguars such as the XKs and E-Types were in part due to their distinct blend of forward-looking style and sophisticated use of technology. The power and quality of the XK engines used for the Jaguar XK120, and subsequent cars for many years, was far in advance of other comparable engines of the period. Similarly the much improved ride quality and road holding abilities of these cars had left their counterparts behind.

It was much the same with the Jaguar E-Type, a sensation when it was launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961. Here was a race-bred, visually sensational, 150mph sports car at just half the price of its nearest rival, the Aston Martin DB4.

The Jaguar XKs, and the C and D-Types which evolved from them, also enjoyed much success in sports car racing, dominating the Le Mans 24 Hour race in the 1950s and contributing to the success of the marque. In the 1980s Jaguar again returned to Le Mans with the Group C XJRs, winning in 1988 and 1990.

Ford's tenureship of the Jaguar brand

Since the mid 1990s, Ford has launched several new Jaguars, including the XJ8/XJR, S-Type, X-Type and XK8/R. The common theme amongst these models is that they have all taken their styling cues from historical Jaguars such as the D and E-Types of the '50s and '60s for the XK8, and the XJ6s and XJ12s of the '70s and '80s for the saloons.

One can certainly appreciate Ford's reasoning behind the decision to ape the styles that proved so successful for Jaguar in the past, but by doing so they appear to have missed the point of what made those cars successful in the first place: that the styles then were looking forward rather than backwards.

In an attempt to recoup the substantial financial investment in Jaguar, and in keeping with its own history, Ford created the X-Type as a "low-budget" Jaguar that was intended to appeal to the fleet market and those for whom the top-end models were too expensive. Yet this model never sold in the volumes that Ford hoped for outside of the UK. For many potential purchasers, the model shared too much in common with Ford's own Mondeo to be distinctively 'Jaguar', and for younger owners the car bore too much resemblance to the Jaguar XJ -- a model traditionally driven by older owners. It was also a highly competitive market and the X-Type was in direct competition with BMW, Mercedes and, at the time, the similarly styled Rover 75.

Yet on occasions Ford have created much interest amongst motoring journalists and enthusiasts with a number of concept cars. The XK180, and similarly styled F-Type, were greatly praised and could, potentially, have tapped into the emerging market for roadsters alongside the Porsche Boxter and Mercedes-Benz SLK, yet neither were translated into production models.

Sporting pretensions

With Jaguar's past successes in motor sport having added much to the brand, Ford attempted to recreate this with its entry into Formula 1 racing. Formula 1, however, with its vast budgets and tendency to be dominated by one or two top teams was an ambitious leap and the Jaguar team never managed to challenge for world championship points on a consistent basis.

In hindsight it would, perhaps, have been better to concentrate efforts in other motorsport categories. Indeed, the XKRs run in the Trans-Am series proved very successful, securing four manufacturers' titles. Had the F1 budget been spread across other classes, Jaguar's presence in world motorsport may have been a different story.

Too much too late

With the launch of the much praised next-generation XK/R in 2006, and the XF due out in late 2007 to replace the S-Type, Jaguar's model line-up does finally appear to be looking forwards both in terms of style and technology -- a substantial reason for the success of the brand throughout Jaguar's history But with Ford having experienced financially troubled times over the last few years, the sale of Jaguar would inject much needed capital back into Ford, just as the Jaguar marque looks set to turn the corner and experience a resurgence in popularity.

Jaguar's future

To secure its future and to continue as one of history's most evocative automotive marques, Jaguar needs a parent company that will allow its designers to continue with the innovation and dynamism shown in the current XK range and upcoming XF. For much of its history, the Jaguar marque has been ahead of the field with design and performance -- its new owners, however they may be, would do well to bear that in mind.

David Durban has had a passion for cars since his early teens, building several component cars and taking part in long distance endurance rallies across Europe. In his spare time, when he is not busy reading books about Jaguar he is the webmaster for the Surrey Region Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club

Implementing A Web Hosting Plan

As a society we face daily the powerful role that the Internet plays in our lives. Our computers have become the hub of our daily activities on which we work, play, communicate, and shop. And if you are a business owner you are even more keenly aware of the role of the Internet in modern commerce. It is for this reason that more and more people are deciding to launch their own websites for business and non-business purposes. If you are among this group, you have surely found that there is a multitude of decisions involved in such a venture, not the least of which is the implementation of a web hosting plan.

A web host essentially provides websites access to the Internet. Web hosting is provided by companies or individuals that have their own server at their disposal; a server is a high-powered, comprehensive computer that is set up in such a way that it communicates openly with other computers, accessing the vast informational power of the World Wide Web. In turn, a web host rents out space on its server to websites. Through this rental for which you will often pay a monthly fee the website owner is afforded unlimited access to the Internet through which visitors to their website can travel. Ultimately, a web hosting plan should help you determine what is essential to the success of your website so that you can choose a web host that will be most effective for your needs.

As part of your web hosting plan you need to first define what it is that your website will offer and how much traffic you expect as a result. For instance, if you are retail business that is launching an online component, you may expect more traffic than a website that has been created for social purposes. Also, a retail business will undoubtedly offer visitors the ability to purchase items online which, in turn, will require a more comprehensive service from a web host. A web hosting plan must take all your needs into consideration including the possibility of large files being held on the server, extensive traffic, and the necessity of an online commerce component.

In addition, a web hosting plan should include finding a company that offers a track record of consistent access to the Internet. While you can certainly not avoid all technical difficulties that may arise, you should expect an overall dependability from your web host. Further, you should expect professional and timely service, as well as account management that allows you to reach someone at all times.

Finally, a web hosting plan should include your budget considerations. Web hosting services vary tremendously in price, so make sure that if you are paying the price, you are getting the service you need. Talk to other companies or friends who have already launched their websites to find out what web host has worked successfully for them. Or visit online forums where you can speak to website owners with equal services and traffic to your own; this can be great resource for finding a web host that will work for you and constructing a web hosting plan that will ultimately bring you success.

How To Protect Your eBooks From Piracy And Copyright Infringement!

eBooks, or electronic books, mean big business for all aspiring writers. Not only can eBooks be sold in their own right as standalone products, but eBooks are fast becoming the weapon of choice for marketing gurus!

Many business owners and webmasters pay writers to write eBooks for them. Writers spend hours, days and weeks researching material and writing the eBook. But for writers, business owners & webmasters alike, there is often little in the way of protection in place that stops unscrupulous operators from stealing eBook content. Shockingly, 4 out of every 10 eBooks offered for sale on the Internet are pirated. Material from legitimate eBooks are taken without the owner's knowledge, and passed off as original content every single day!

I should know...I was a victim!

I have written and published 5 eBooks on various topics in the past year, the content of which has all been stolen and used as original copy on other people's web sites. The sad thing is, MANY OF THE PEOPLE WHO DO THIS DO NOT REALIZE THEY ARE DOING ANYTHING WRONG!

US Copyright law, and for that matter, most copyright laws around the world state that as soon as a book, e-book or other material is published, the author has immediate & full backing under copyright infringement law. Unfortunately for many writers & publishers, placing a " Copyright - All Rights Reserved " statement on their material affords little in the way of protection these days, unless there is a good team of attorneys and a bottomless pit of cash to back it up with.

So what are your options?

1) Copyright Registration - If you're serious about protecting your hard work you'll need to register your e-book through a professional copyright service.

To register copyright, visit one of these service providers -

IN NORTH AMERICA

Click &Copyright
http://www.clickandcopyright.com/

IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

Writers' Copyright Association-UK
http://www.wcauk.com/

Copyright registration though is only worthwhile if you can follow it through with lawyers & attorneysand the cost can sometimes hurt!

2) International Standard Book Number (ISBN) - If you're really, really serious about protecting your hard work you'll need to register for an ISBN number. This will give you a bit more clout when dealing with copyright infringement.

3) EAN Bar Codes - If you're really, really, really serious about protecting your hard work you'll need to buy an EAN bar code. This can get expensive but gives your lawyers something to latch onto when taking proceedings against people who have infringed copyright.

4) Digital Content Protection Systems - If you're really, really, really, really serious about protecting your hard work for a fraction of the cost of other routes then go for a digital content protection system like Virtual Vault. This type of program protects your eBook AT SOURCE, so there's no need to chase people through court, as they won't be able to steal it in the first place!

Compare Home Insurance When You Need it Fast

When You Need Home Insurance Now

Almost all mortgage lenders will require homeowners insurance, and even if you are in the favorable position of having a paid off loan, you will still want to protect your investment. Many new home purchases wait until the last minute to select a homeowners insurance policy, and that puts them in a vulnerable position because they need to make a fast choice about a policy that will protect their most important investment.

Other groups of people who may need quick access to home insurance are residents of states where major insurers have chosen to pull out. Recent storms have caused rising claims, and the insurers have decided the market is not long profitable for them. However, they often leave their policy holders with very little time to select a new policy.

Traditional homeowners, who actually live in the home they cover, are not the only ones who need some sort of home protection. Renters, Landlords, and Condo Owners also need specific types of home protection.

Find an Affordable Policy

Of course, your insurance coverage will vary by the value of your home, where you live, and your own claims history. Another factor that will impact your home insurance premium rate is your credit history. Credit history has become a larger factor in many types of insurance risk assessment in the last few years.

Be certain to do some shopping if you are looking for a new company because you are buying a new home, have lost your old policy, or are unhappy with your current insurer. Your auto insurance company may offer an auto and home insurance discount. Some of the internet car insurance companies do not offer home insurance, so you may consider switching your car insurance company to a company that does!

Note that multiple insurance policy discounts do not always give you the best rates for all insurers in your area. So while I might advise a homeowner to start shopping at their own auto insurance company, I would not advise them to stop comparing insurance there.

If the premium for the type of home insurance you require is still high, consider raising the deductible. Make certain that you can afford the deductible amount, but know that you may save the extra deductible over the course of a few months because your premiums will be cheaper. Your mortgage company may mandate a maximum deductible amount. $1000 is typical.

Compare Home Insurance Quickly

I am a big fan of online insurance quoting. You can enter your information into a fast, online form, and that usually only takes about three minutes. The system will return quotes from the local insurance companies that want to compete for your business. You will also get contact information for qualified, local insurance agents. I would start comparing information with an online quoting service, but would always advise consumers to end their search by consulting with a local agent. In my mind, that is the best combination of quick comparisons and personal service.

When you look for an online quoting system, find a major one that uses a secure server and has a stated privacy policy. That way you know that you won't have your information misused. Third party quality assurance services are a great sign too! Many of the best online insurance quoting systems participate in the Better Business Bureau Online Service.

Compare Home Insurance Online with our fast, safe and free insurance quoting system. Our system has a stated privacy policy, operates on a secure system, and participates in the BBB Online System!

We help over 100,000 consumers find affordable insurance every month, and we'd like to invite you to be one of them!

Mesothelioma Asbestos

What is Mesothelioma Asbestos?

Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. Asbestos is a naturally-occurring fiber, that, when released into the air, can be inhaled or swallowed. Asbestos has no smell or taste, and asbestos fibers are so tiny that they are not visible to the naked eye. Asbestos fibers can stick in the lung, abdomen and other body tissues and over time, lead to the development of asbestos-related diseases like mesothelioma.

The generic name "asbestos" belongs to a group of minerals called "asbestiform" minerals. Asbestos is a fibrous material which is mined from serpentine rock. Basically, rock was mined and crushed. When the rock was crushed, fibrous stands of asbestos were extracted from the rock. The strands where put in bags and shipped to manufacturing facilities were the asbestos was used as an ingredient in insulation and other materials. The three most commonly used forms of asbestos in product manufacturing were chrysotile, amosite and crocidolite.

Mesothelioma Treatment!

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a new mesothelioma treatment based on the theory that single celled organisms die when exposed to certain frequency of light. Photosensitive drugs are administered intravenously. In a couple of days, the drug concentrates on the diseased cell and kills it. Skin sensitivity, nausea and vomiting can be some of the side effects.

Immunotherapy(biological therapy) is another new way to treat mesothelioma. Immunotherapy will try to rejuvenate the immune system and there by improving the natural immune system which is the most effective way to fight any disease. The therapy also repairs the immune systems that are faulty. Biological response modifiers (BRMs) are the substances used in immunotherapy. BRMs naturally develop in the body but it can now be prepared in laboratory and is found to give the same effect as the natural ones.

Treatments with the combinations of surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy, are being researched studied. Heated intraoperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy and use of pemetrexed drug, brand named Alimta, are some of the new developments in the treatment of mesothelioma.

Lift Kits - The Raised Truck Craze Gone Wild

There was a day when trucks were a working mans vehicle and scratches were expected. Shells protected valuables and tonneau covers protected tools. Those days are over and truck enthusiasts are souping up their rides more than ever before. With the addition of popular movies featuring fancy cars and popular television shows that glorify plasma screens and ground shaking stereo systems, the custom truck rage is here to stay.

As a sign of manhood or personal taste, many truck owners decide to lift their rides for a performance altered appearance. Lift kits can actually be found online and can be installed on your truck in a do-it-yourself fashion. Some lift systems can be somewhat difficult to install, but after all, challenges are what get us men going and when we are determined, who knows what will happen.

The following bullet points are the benefits to installing a new suspension system with lift kit on your truck:

  • Style
  • Performance
  • Increase in ground clearance
  • Looks that could make a grown man cry!

The skys the limit when you go high-profile with your truck or SUV! Lift Kits push ground clearance and aggressive looks to new heights, letting you conquer on or off-road obstacles with confidence. Lift Kit Manufacturers make custom parts that will fit your specific truck to a T to give you the look that youve been wanting. My lift kit was recently tested at an off road rally down near Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and let me tell you - I didnt get stuck in the dirt. Ground clearance was needed on the off road trails that we were on and the drool on my buddies faces proved that the style could easily make a grown man cry.

Flood Insurance Secret - Your Homeowners Insurance Policy Probably Doesn't Cover You!

You may be taking a huge financial risk if you haven't checked to make sure that you have proper flood insurance coverage. It's not automatic!

Flood insurance is important because most homeowners insurance policies do NOT cover flood damage. In fact, most standard homeowners, renters, dwelling, and condominium policies contain specific clauses that exclude and reject any type of flood losses. These days many lenders will require you to make certain that your property is fully protected before they will fund your loan, but existing owners should check with their insurance agents to determine whether their current policies cover them for flood damage.

Congress created the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) in 1968 to fill the coverage gap contained in most property policies. Flood policies are available in communities nationwide. These programs meet federal standards and help minimize property losses.

Many people think that they only need flood insurance if they live near the water, but those living close to the coast, a lake, river, or similar low-lying area, aren't the only ones at risk. The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) says that one of every three claims comes from outside the high-risk flood areas. An overflowing drain or rainfall that overwhelms the drainage around your house can send rising waters into your home.

Tip: Its important to think ahead and buy flood insurance before you need it. A flood policy takes effect 30 days after you buy it. Dont wait until its too late.

A flood policy covers the insured home, building and its contents. The policy also pays for moving insured contents to a safe location and for expenses -- such as pumps and sandbags -- to protect a building.

Even though flood insurance is a federal program, you can buy flood insurance from the same local agent who handles your home or auto insurance policy.

The price of flood insurance depends on where you live and the amount of coverage needed. If you live in an area with low to moderate risk of flooding, you might be able to buy an NFIP preferred risk policy cheap.

Be sure to buy enough coverage. You can insure your home for as much as $250,000 and your personal property for as much as $100,000. Commercial buildings can be insured for as much as $500,000, with another $500,000 for contents.

If your home is covered for at least 80 percent of its value, you will have replacement cost coverage on the structure. In English this means the policy will pay for repairs with no deduction for depreciation. Contents coverage, on the other hand, is on an actual cash valuethat is, depreciatedbasis.

You can get more information about flood insurance by visiting http://www.nationalfloodinsurancerogram.org/ or by contacting your local insurance agent.

What Is The LifeLock Company All About And Do You Need Its Services

LifeLock claims to be one of the biggest identity theft protection companies in the world and serves both individuals and businesses. The company is based in Tempe, Arizona and was founded in 2005. LifeLock is funded by private equity investment and venture funds and is currently being valued in excess of $40 million and is well-poised to earn the leadership position in identity theft protection services. With this said, the company is obviously doing something right but does its program work? Before answering this question it is important to understand what identity theft is and what types of protection are available.

Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States and is taking center stage at the White House, many homes around the nation, and is also becoming a growing concern to businesses and individuals. The concept of what identity theft is can be put in quite simple terms where a thief gains access to your personal information such as social security number, driver's license number, birth date, address, or bank account numbers. Once a thief has this information there are numerous things they can use it for but in virtually all cases the end result is devastation for the victim and their credit history. This being the case, it is obvious that people need some type of protection but what is available?

Traditional identity theft services can be broken down into several categories such as credit monitoring services, identity theft insurance, or restoration services. Credit monitoring may give someone a false sense of security because by the time the monitoring service finds a problem, the identity of the client has already been compromised. Insurance and restoration services are also reactionary and do nothing to prevent the crime as they are designed to help consumers after they have become victims. Identity theft insurance reimburses you for the costs of restoring your identity and a restoration service will often provide a representative to handle the time consuming aspect of restoring your credit.

While identity theft insurance and restoration services can be a big help to someone that has fallen victim to identity theft, a more ideal solution would be a program that prevents the theft in the first place. LifeLock is said to be different because it is a system designed to prevent your identity from being stolen rather than reporting it after the fact. The company claims that it is so confident with their service that their CEO commonly publishes his own social security number because he knows his identity is safe. To guarantee this high-quality protection, LifeLock hires companies to continually try to break into the system. If LifeLock is so effective then we must wonder how it works.

LifeLock claims to maintain locks on your credit file and keeps the locks current as they will normally expire every 90 days. The company also removes your name from pre-approved credit card offers. LifeLock offers two separate plans, one for business and the other one for individuals. For individuals, LifeLock charges a per-person monthly fee and has a discount for your children and is now said to be offering free and reduced cost to veterans. Businesses too have experienced similar success with LifeLock in terms of protecting the identities of its employees. While it is easy to see how LifeLock can benefit a large business and does work for an individual, is it not possible for someone simply do everything on their own to avoid the monthly charge?

Other then the fact that LifeLock employs Identityguard which monitors your credit reports monthly which you can not do for free, there is nothing else that LifeLock does that an individual can not do on there own. The LifeLock program is basically a service of convenience that offers the customer a sense of security without the stress of taking care of all the little details of securing their identity not to mention remembering to keep the alerts active when they run out. In today's world it is obvious that we all need some type of protection from identity theft and whether you decide to take care of it on your own or choose a program such as LifeLock is not as important as taking some type of action to protect yourself.

Couponing 101: Saving Money Clipping Coupons

You've probably stood in a checkout line behind someone who has a coupon for every item they've purchased, and it seems like eternity until they are finished. But, they probably saved over 50% to 80% off their grocery bill in that few minutes!

How, you ask?

If you want to try your hand at snipping scissors for savings, first you need the coupons! The best source for coupons is in the Sunday newspapers. The inserts are tucked in the middle with the advertisements.

With the cost of a Sunday paper usually ranging from $1.00 - $1.50, it is a good investment with sometimes hundreds of dollars worth of coupons. And can you believe most people throw them away? Ask your friends, relatives and neighbors to save the inserts for you. Be on the lookout for businesses who subscribe and leave papers around for customers to read (ie Gas Stations, Laundry Mats). Check recycling bins. "Dumpster dive" if you have to.

On Monday, ask your newspaper carrier and stores if they have any leftover Sunday papers that didn't sell. Vendors usually only have to send in certain parts of the newspaper (ie the heading) of those that didn't sell to get credit for unsold papers. But they still have the coupons inside!

Unfortunately around Holidays, coupon inserts aren't as plentiful. So, you may want to check the Newspaper in the Newsstand on Mother's Day before searching the couch cushions for pocket change. And not all Sunday newspaper carry the same inserts. Some may have one, and another three. And even if they carry the same inserts, the amounts of the coupons may be different! It is common that coupons have a higher dollar value in an urban area over a rural area.

More ways to obtain coupons is directly from the manufacturers. Call the toll-free number on your favorite brands asking for coupons. Telling them first how much you like their product is a good introduction to your plea. Most will be happy to mail you coupons. Also check out to see if the product has a website. Email them or use their contact form to inquire. Don't forget to include your mailing address.

Look over your empty canned goods labels and boxed food items before throwing them in the trash. Usually you can find a toll-free number to call (see above) on the package. Some packages also adorn their own coupons good on their next purchase. And many companies are now participating in Boxtops for Education and Campbell's Labels for Education, so take a second to cut out the little symbol for the school of your choice. Those 10 add up fast when many people save, and all schools, public and private alike, appreciate them.

Also look for "hang-tags" on items in the store. Some will say "Save $$$ now" and if you read the print, it does not have to be used on only that certain item. Look for hang-tags on wine, as some offer $$$ off soda, meat or produce, with NO alcohol purchase required.

Another plan to acquire coupons is to beg, borrow or steal from other couponers. Ok, maybe not steal. Barter. If you don't know any coupon locales, you can meet them through Refund/Coupons Magazines and Internet Chat Boards. It is prohibited to actually sell coupons, but you can "purchase" coupons from Coupon Services who charge a "handling fee" per coupon (for their time to cut, sort and mail). You can even bid on coupons on eBay!

The newest way to add coupons to your collection is to print them directly from the internet to your printer (ie FreePrintables.net)! Some stores have yet to accept these thinking they are counterfeit. But printable coupons are definitely the wave the of future. Many sites make you register first, and your name may even appear on the coupon or are barcoded with your information. Others may only let you print one or two of the same coupon before you get a "Sorry you've already printed your quota for that coupon" message.

Once you have your coupons, it is best to have some rhyme or reason to them, so it is easier to find the coupon you want when you need it. You can use a simple recipe box with dividers, a three ring binder with divided pages (like for baseball cards), or you can even buy a "real" coupon organizer.

Then you need to categorize your coupons within your organizer. There are several ways people sort theirs. The most simple way is to organize by generic classifications (ie Baby, Pet, Frozen Foods, Dairy, Paper Products, Health & Beauty, etc). Another way to sort is by expiration date. Couponers with thousands of coupons file the full inserts by the name of the insert (SmartSource, Valassis, Proctor & Gamble) and the date that it came out.

Make a date once a month with your coupon organizer to weed out expired coupons. This can be done easily while watching your favorite show on the television. Your kids can even help. If you have an extra stamp to spare, mail those expired coupons overseas for the the deployed military to use at the commissaries. Some commissaries accept coupons up to six months after the expiration date.

Never throw out any coupons thinking you won't use them! Even if you have coupons for products you know you won't use, you may find those products on sale or clearance and after using a coupon may be only a few cents or even free! Save health and beauty items for gift baskets. Donate canned goods to food pantries. Sell Cleaning Supplies at a rummage sale. You get the idea.

Watch the weekly ads and stock up when something you use is on sale, and especially when you have a coupon for those sale items. Some stores will let you combine a store coupon with a manufacturer coupon (ie Target and Walgreens). Other stores price match if you bring in their competitor's ad. Pricematching is good if the original store is out of stock and your coupons expire before the rain checked items come in. It's also good to save on trekking all over town to get the sales when you could get them all at Super-Walmart, for example.

Ask if your favorite store offers a reward program. Baker's offers a club card you swipe every time you shop to get their discount prices. HyVee's checkout spits out Catalina coupons to use on your next purchase when you purchase certain items. Register all of your grocery and drugstore cards at Upromise.com, and they deposit 1% - 5% of the purchase price of thousands of different brands into a college fund for the person of your choice!

Some lucky shoppers get to take advantage of "Double Coupon Sales" or even "Triple Coupon Sales" where the store actually doubles the value of the coupon, up to a certain amount. For example, the store may advertise "Double Coupons up to 99!" Any coupon value 99 or lower, will be doubled, but $1.00 and up will be normal value. The store themselves eat the doubled value as an incentive to pull in shoppers.

Be sure to browse the Clearance Sections of your store. Target is known for having deep discounts on their end shelves hidden in the store. Also, if your coupon boasts "Valid on ANY size", buy the trial size! Be sure to calculate if you are getting a deal. Sometimes, it may still be cheaper to buy a generic brand of something, than to use a coupon on a name-brand something.

If the price of a product is more than the value of your coupon (ie Shampoo is 99 and you have a $1 off coupon), it is up to the store whether they will give you whole value of the coupon (where you make a profit) or just deduct the cost of the product. Either way, the store will be reimbursed for the full amount of the coupon plus the standard 8 redemption fee they receive. So, even though cashiers act like they hate coupons, it's in the store's best interest to accept them.

Rebate and Refund forms are another way to "cash" in on savings. These are obtained the same way coupons are, only they are not as plentiful. The best ones offer "Try Us Free!" Read the fine print, as most require you buy the product within a specific time period, and mail in the cash register receipt (with the purchase price circled) along with the UPC barcode from the product. Mail in as soon as possible, so it doesn't get forgotten about before the deadline. Many, many people forget to mail in their forms or don't read the fine print and miss out.

Stores, like Ace Hardware and Office Max, offer their own rebate booklets where you can take advantage of multiple offers with one form to get cash back. Some stores, like Walgreens, Shopko and Menards, offer their "cash back" in the form of store credit. You can turn around and use your store credit next month to buy new products that are FAR (Free After Rebate)! And you can combine coupons with rebates!

"Triple Plays" are music to Couponer's ears. This can mean that 1) the product is on sale, 2) you have a coupon and 3) the store offers a monthly rebate program. Or 1) there is a store coupon, 2) you have a manufacturer coupon and 3) you have a mail-in rebate for that product. The possibilities are endless. And most possibilities turn out with totally free products.

Unfortunately most perishable items do not have coupons for them. But you can still save! Watch when meat is marked down. Markets must sell their cut meat after so many days, so you can get meat 50% off or more on the cut off day. If you don't need any meat for the next few days to use it, freeze it to use later! Also watch for big ten pound tubes of hamburger to go on sale, as it is a lot cheaper per pound. Buy some freezer bags and divide it up into smaller portions and freeze.

Long timer couponers have year long supplies of certain stockpiled items, like toothpaste, razors, shampoo and cleaning supplies. When they are out of an item, they simply "shop" their stockpile closet. Not only did they save money buying the item, they saved time not having to run to the store to buy it again.

And There's More Coupons!

Watch for coupons to save when dining out at your favorite restaurant, to get a free membership to the gym, or even to save 25% off new clothes at the mall boutiques. These are also found in Entertainment booklets, newspaper ads and printable online.

Now, that you know how to save on most everything you need or want, there are also virtual coupons! Most online merchants offer promotional codes to be used during the checkout process for percentages off your purchase or even free shipping. ShoppingBookmarks.com categorizes thousands of coupon codes for hundreds of merchants. No need to go out now. Sit in front of your computer and have your good delivered to your door for less!
